Orchard Bed & Breakfast in Lewes
Orchard B&B is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful town of Lewes and the vibrant seaside town of Brighton which is only 10 minutes drive from us. We are also surrounded by gorgeous countryside in East Sussex, including the south downs national park.
We are a young family and our home is situated in a quiet crescent of attractive houses 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. The accommodation comprises of a spacious ensuite room with views of the south downs which is tastefully decorated. A yummy vegetarian continental breakfast including our sesonal homemade fruit juices will be served at the table in your bedroom (or in bed if you prefer!).
Lewes has plenty to keep you busy in fact there's never a dull moment! The historic attractions of Lewes castle and Anne of Cleaves house, the famous Harveys brewery, fabulous boutique and independent shops, flea markets, cafe society including the world famous "Bills", if you're feeling active take a walk on the South Downs or you can even cycle the South Downs Way, canoe down the ouse or try your hand at paragliding off mount Cabourn! We rent bikes and have a canoe for two!
There are lots of events throughout the year. For foodies try the Octoberfest with lots of yummy local food on offer. Also in October the folk festival. The world famous Glyndebourne runs from March to September for some amazing acoustic experiences. Last but not least the infamous bonfire celebrations - you've got to see them to believe them!
